This plate is marked “PROVE” on the back. The Danish word for “TEST”. It is a test piece made by Royal Copenhagen to determine whether to put the Christmas plate serie in production or not. The artist Oluf Jensen has signed the plate on the back and after he made it, he has shown it for the leaders of Royal Copenhagen, who has accepted it and put it in production.
