Rare Vintage Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Mouse Eating Sugar 062. This is an extremely rare piece. In excellent first quality condition. A wonderful decorative piece for collectors. Featuring the Royal Copenhagen hallmarks (the crown and three wavy lines) and the artist’s initials. Erik Nielsen was educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 1885/6 and in 1886 – 1926 he worked at the Royal Copenhagen porcelain factory. He was made head of the model department and worked as a sculptor. He created a series of animal figures with the distinctive underglaze.
